there's a girl who lives way down under the sea
with the kind of soul you would only see in dreams
she sleeps inside so comfortably in the crashing of the waves
safe from the vengeful and torrential rain

although her voice is magic
all that she knew was tragic
but it's fine

she's got violet eyes and a lovely bed, the bohemian life she used to live
is quite a few years past its welcome
she plays with sharks, electric eels and of course a giant octopus
the most terrifying one she could find

I'd sink down in the ocean
just to see her eyes in motion
I would drown for her

she's so good at being young but will she grow old?
in her mind it's all the same so we sing and swim and sleep and learn
